BANNING, Calif. — October 31, 2026. Organizations serving Banning residents have until 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 17 to submit applications for the 2027–2028 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, according to an official city notice.
Banning participates as a cooperating city in Riverside County’s CDBG program, supported by federal funds and administered locally through county housing and workforce officials. Proposed activities must meet the program’s eligibility requirements; the city lists possible public services including health care, job training, child care, services for people experiencing homelessness, recreation, senior services and public safety.
Paper submissions required
The city specifies that applications must be delivered in hard copy, using the county-approved application. Organizations must provide two copies: one original and one copy. Applications for cooperating cities are not being accepted through the county’s online application system.
The delivery location is the Banning City Hall Economic Development Department, 99 E. Ramsey Street, Banning, CA 92220. Applicants should verify business hours and the required forms before arriving, particularly if relying on the final day.
What this notice does not promise
Submitting an application does not guarantee a grant. Award amounts, selection and eligibility depend on the program rules and subsequent review. The city directs organizations to county CDBG guidance for detailed requirements.
